Eickendorf

Eickendorf lies in the Magdeburger Börde not far from the towns of Calbe (Saale) and Schönebeck (Elbe) on an extremely fertile soil which, with a soil value number of 100 (determined in 1934) represents the best soil in Germany. Thus it is the reference soil for all soil qualities throughout Germany. The vineyard to the east of the community (111 m above mean sea level) rises above the gently undulating landscape by some 30 metres. Eickendorf is approx. 20 km from Magdeburg.

The planned photovoltaic plant was installed at the south-eastern edge of the town.
